The Truth Will Set You Free

31So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, jIf you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32and you will kknow the truth, and the truth lwill set you free.” 33They answered him, m“We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?”

34Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, neveryone who practices sin is a slave
Greek bondservant; also verse 35
to sin.
35 pThe slave does not remain in the house forever; qthe son remains forever. 36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

James 1:25

25But the one who looks into the perfect law, rthe law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, she will be blessed in his doing.

James 2:12

12So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under tthe law of liberty.

2 Peter 2:19

19They promise them ufreedom, vbut they themselves are slaves
